From Inside Out: Building Organizational Capacity

This 57-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: the development of strategic plan through improved performance management, human resources, and board governance tools and processes; increased organizational sustainability through the development of a social enterprise model; and partnership development through shared training programs and tools. Supplemental funds released in April 2022 will be used to increase additional capacity building activities, Human Resources services, and improve capacity to serve clients. Supplemental funds released in March 2023 will be used to develop a volunteer hiring and onboarding program, create a manual for office management procedures, systems and workflows, and develop a learning agenda around the organization's engagement with various audiences.

The purpose of the Women’s Program is to advance equality for women in Canada by working to address or remove systemic barriers impeding women’s progress and advancement. The WP supports the Government of Canada’s goal of advancing gender equality in Canada. It is consistent with Government of Canada priorities related to economic prosperity, and supports Canada’s international commitments related to gender equality.
