Description:
This 58-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: development of a 5-year strategic plan that addresses administrative processes; development of an HR management and board governance structure to incorporate diverse groups; and increased financial sustainability.
The organization will empower high school and young women, include indigenous youth and communities, inspire and advance women’s careers and leadership opportunities, connect the racialized and immigrant women in STEM and sustain SCWIST operational capacity and financial sustainability.
The additional funds will alleviate the organizational pressures from the rapid growth resulting from this successful capacity building project. The new activities will include: the additions of the gender-based analysis to HR resource management policies and tools; a new workflow process to support the new strategic governance model to sustain the growth of the organization.
