Description:
This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the South Asian Women’s Centre to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: strategic planning, the development of a communication strategy, and the creation of an organizational financial health and sustainability plan.
In 2020, the organization received additional funds during COVID to hire a technology specialist to assist the organization advance its activities online.
The 2023 supplemental funding will be used to develop a post-COVID human resources policy on remote work and emergency readiness and revise their strategic planning to reflect the new reality post-COVID and to build the organization’s capacity to better respond to the needs of South Asian Women in terms of Transitional Housing.
