Description:
This 58-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the South Asian Women's and Immigrants’ Services Inc. (formerly known as South Asian Women's Rights Organization Inc) to become a strong emerging community-based women’s organization. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through an in-depth organizational evaluation; strategic planning; and strengthening of the Board of Directors’ capacity to develop strategies relating to fundraising, administration and initiatives. The 2023 supplemental funding will be used to: 1) support their transition from a non-profit to a charitable organization (including a sustainability plan); 2) strengthen human resources (providing training and succession planning); and 3) strengthen women-led and community-based initiatives in collaboration with sector coalitions and partners.
