Description:
Through this 32-month project, Under One Sky – Monoqonuwicik-Neoteejg Mosigsig will increase their capacity to provide programs and services to Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people in the province of New Brunswick. This will be achieved by developing a Board Governance Structure enhancing Board capacity by providing required training and supports, recruiting new board members to fill identified skills gaps, and reviewing and improving internal operation and human resources policies. By the end of the project, Under One Sky - Monoqonuwicik-Neoteejg Mosigsig will have strengthened their internal capacity to prevent and address GBV against indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGTBQQIA+ people.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
