Description:
Through this 28-month project, Columbia Valley Pride will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address the capacity and sustainability needs of the organization through a funding strategy, accounting infrastructure, community consultation, and strategic planning. These activities will directly impact the programs, services, education and engagement of the 2SLGBTQI+ community and non 2SLGBTQI+ community through the Columbia Valley. The project will include creating a strong plan for financial sustainability, a theory of change and strategic plan, and an opportunity for consultation with the community to align our programs, events, and educational efforts. This project has the opportunity to give the working board the resources and capacity to accelerate the impact and work of the organization in a timely and strategic process.

Program Purpose:

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
