Description:

Through this 29-month project, Toronto Queer Media & Arts Centre will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address the need to increase organizational governance structures and undertake strategic planning to provide a community art exhibition space in Toronto for work by and about marginalized queer and trans people. The project will review day-to-day and governance policies to support the development of the organization’s staff manual, orientation package and a new five-year organizational strategic plan.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
