Description:
Through this 26-month project, Fierté Canada Pride (FCP) will enhance its organizational capacity as a national network organization. FCP is adopting an innovative operational leadership model of two Co-Executive Directors to amplify its internal capacity and facilitate activities such as strategic planning, diversifying funding streams, expanding policies, devising a communication plan, forging partnerships, and charting an advocacy agenda. This model will bring diverse perspectives and skill sets to enhance decision-making, problem-solving, and enable inclusion and empowerment of equity-deserving groups. Through this project, FCP is positioned to strengthen its foundations and work towards self-sustainability, while contributing to the viability of the 2SLGBTQIA+ sector across Canada, promoting equality, and setting an example for other organizations. All templates, tools and resources developed through this capacity development project can be distributed as a resource to build capacity for FCP members.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
