Description:
Through this 27-month project, African Centre for Refugees in Ontario Canada will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address existing internal capacity gaps to serve the needs of LGBTQI+ African Refugees and Newcomers. The project will include developing an Organizational Capacity Development plan, including updating governance documents; developing financial management guidelines and procuring financial management and donor management/branding software; creating a Human Resource manual, Volunteer Engagement policy, and related templates; and developing a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning plan.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
