Description:
Through this 34-month project, the New Brunswick Multicultural Council Inc. (NBMC) will help advance women’s economic security and prosperity through systemic change. The project will reduce barriers to participation and success in the workforce for newcomer women in New Brunswick. Specifically, it will connect with partners to gather information on current challenges faced by newcomer women and best human resources practices for employers. The collected information will then inform training opportunities to support employers in reducing barriers through improved internal policies. NBMC will focus on broader systems change through activities such as the creation of a short film as well as information and culturally appropriate supports for newcomer women. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project.
