Description:
Through this 24-month systemic change project, Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre will help advance women’s economic security and prosperity through systemic change. Specifically, the project will address systemic barriers within Toronto’s labour market by hosting a series of roundtable group discussions to identify intersectional barriers to economic security; developing a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Strategy focused on improving the outcomes of racialized and newcomer women and the 2SLGBTQI+ community; developing a DEI Employer Toolkit to outreach to employers; launching an Employer Outreach campaign to increase awareness of the benefits of building a diverse workforce; and hosting a Job Fair at the end of the project to connect underrepresented job seekers to employers from a range of industries. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project
