Description:
Through this 31-month project, Elizabeth Fry New Brunswick (EFNB) will help advance women’s economic and leadership opportunities through systemic change. This project will increase leadership opportunities for women from underrepresented backgrounds, implement consensus-building measures that better account for the unique needs of those who face intersecting discrimination and oppression that reproduce structural inequities, create a systematic space for all voices to be heard and have influence, and generate a model for nonprofits to move away from patriarchal structures of governance to systematically make space for Indigenous and other ways of knowing. They will collaborate with other community non-profit organizations to develop new and updated approaches that support more equitable and inclusive practices to decision making and distribution of power. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of this systemic change project.
