Description:
Through this 25-month systemic change project, the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration (MRCSSI) will help advance Muslim women’s representation in leadership and decision-making roles through systemic change. Specifically, the project will address systemic barriers within social services, health care and education by working with 24 Muslim women and girls of diverse identities and lived experience to co-create racial-trauma informed safety and equity audit tools and resources for each sector and to develop and pilot interactive training modules addressing lived realities of gendered Islamophobia so that harm is reduced for Muslim women and girls and practices and policies are strengthened. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project.
