Description:
Through this 25-month systemic change project, CultureLink Settlement and Community Services will help advance women’s representation in leadership and decision-making roles through systemic change. Specifically, the project will address systemic barriers within the Toronto District School Board (TDSB): by 1) identifying barriers for immigrant mothers to influence decision-making policies and/or practices at the TDSB using a gender-based analysis; 2) identifying actionable recommendations to remove those barriers; 3) developing and implementing a community mobilization strategy; 4) advocating for the adoption of policy and/or practice recommendations at the TDSB; and 5) disseminating project learnings through filming and documentation. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project.
