Description:
Through this 12-month project, Harambec, renaissance du collectif féministe Noir will build its capacity to advance gender and racial equality. It will address and respond to the historical marginalization of Black women and non-binary individuals within QC's feminist movement. By integrating the lived experiences and perspectives of these communities, the project seeks to empower Harambec to better mobilize institutional and community resources against the specific challenges of misogynoir. The project will include a five-year strategic plan and bilingual board governance policy manual that embodies Black feminist values, the creation of an advisory governance committee, and training sessions for board members and staff to increase their capacity for leadership and understanding of non-profit governance.
