Description:
Through this 20-month project, African Women Alliance of Waterloo Region will build its capacity to advance gender equality and address the multi-cultural and culturally sensitive gaps in communication among stakeholders such as mainstream organizations, the Waterloo Region Police Service, African cultural associations, volunteers, the government and the community. The project will include needs assessment, development and implementation of the multi-cultural strategy, developing a system for collecting and managing data for better decision-making, and design and dissemination of resources to address GBV within the African Community in Waterloo Region
