Description:
Through this 20-month project, Tahiuqtiit Womans Society will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the organization’s need to strengthen its infrastructure and outreach capacity to fulfill their mandate to support the equality of Inuit∕Inuvialuit women in the Nunakput region, which is comprised of four communities, Paulatuk, Sachs Harbour, Tuktoyaktuk and Ulukhaktok. The project will include governance training for the Board of Directors, development of evaluation tools, diversification of revenue strategies, improving social media presence, and strategic planning. This project will ensure Inuit∕Inuvialuit women in the Nunakput region move toward greater political, social, and economic equality.
