Description:
Through this 21-month system-change project, the Childcare Resource and Research Unit will scale up the project ‘’Taking child care system change to the next stage to advance equality for all women’’ to advance women’s economic security and representation in leadership roles. It will scale to ensure that the new Canada-wide child care plan is implemented to advance equality for all women. It will address: equity and efficacy of child care policy, funding, service provision; barriers to access and inclusion; best structures and models; and the alignment of child care/parental leave. The project will develop, engage in, share and popularize research, policy and practice and make it accessible to partners, strengthening existing partnerships and developing new ones. The project will also mentor emerging feminist leaders to play key roles in the child care movement.
