Description:

This 9-month project will support FAFIA, and its work with other feminist organizations, to ensure that the review of Canada by the CEDAW Committee is effective and informed. To achieve this, FAFIA will prepare its submission to CEDAW; coordinate with other women’s groups to ensure that central and specific issues will be canvassed in NGO submissions to the CEDAW review; organize a webinar to bring attention and profile to the review and issues of importance to women; attend the official Review event; and follow up with the Government of Canada, and other officials with recommendations.
