Description:
Through this 17-month project, The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (The SOGC) will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the needs and barriers to equality for women in relation to their reproductive and sexual health. This project will aim to use evidence-based information about the sexual and reproductive health, and obstetrics and gynaecology needs of healthcare providers and patients, with special consideration for underserved groups. The SOGC will improve key competencies to develop expertise and better serve communities. This project will include knowledge and tool development, a review and updates of existing policies, and development of strategic and operational plans. The objective of this project is to build the long-term capacity of the SOGC to reduce inequities for women’s obstetrical, gynaecological, and sexual and reproductive health.
