Description:
Through this 17-month project, Maama Watali will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the lack of culturally appropriate supports for black/racialized women who have experienced GBV and the need for second stage housing for this population. The project will include the development and implementation of governance and financial management training for board and staff; the development of a communications and engagement plan with the community to promote the project & extend partnerships; and the development and beginning implementation of a 5-year strategic plan.
