Description:
Through this 17-month project, Hum-WE will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the need to: 1) fill gaps in leadership skills and qualities within the organization to increase long-term viability; 2) create a solid plan to increase funding for their transitional shelter facility for domestic abuse victims ensuring privacy and safety; 3) build connections and collaborations with other organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to pool resources, share knowledge, and coordinate services. As such, the project will include a capacity building needs assessment; skill development workshops; the development of a funding strategy; collaboration with organizations identified as having shared values and goals, particularly those focusing on women's empowerment and domestic violence, and the development and use of a robust project monitoring and evaluation framework.
