Description:
Through this 16-month project, Call Auntie will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the need to: support urban Indigenous women’s sexual and reproductive health across the Greater Toronto Area; better meet and reflect the diverse needs of Call Auntie’s Indigenous staff and clients (Indigenous, low income); put in place an equitably paid workforce who will be more likely to stay in their positions and provide long-term support to clients. The project will include A) building team cultural knowledge and skills to serve a greater diversity of clients; B) increasing staff wellness and equity for greater workforce stability; C) building collective capacity for Indigenous-led trauma informed care; and D) improving organization decision making (governance/policy).
