Description:

This 45-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Women and Children's Shelter of Barrie to tackle gender equality issues. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the implementation of an effective advocacy strategy. The organization will conduct community awareness campaigns and collaborate with key stakeholders from civil society and all levels of government to advocate for more action on gender based issues. A Women’s advocacy group will be created to give a voice for peaceful civic, democratic and political activism in Simcoe County Region.
