Description:
This 6-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include the collaborative sewing of a Red Jingle Dress, which will then be presented at the Annual First Nation Pow Wow along with the singing of an honour song. This addition to the Annual Pow Wow will provide the opportunity for all dancers and community members to come together to dance in spirit and prayer for the Missing and Murdered Women and help them along their healing journey.
