Description:
This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include the creation and installation of a commemorative plaque, hosting a “Miracle Healing Women Conference”, development of a training manual on the traditional role of Blackfoot women, the installation of two billboards with awareness massages, and raising awareness regarding available resources for families affected through an information and resources tipi that will be set up at various events throughout the year.
