Description:
This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: coordination and support of traditional healing activities, such as: ceremonies and prayers, Healing Circles, and talking circles as well as facilitation of trauma informed workshop sessions. A commemoration book will be developed and published to ensure MMIWG from Sagkeeng legacy lives on.
