Description:
This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: bi-weekly circles of Singing and Drumming and inviting a well-known Indigenous elder to be a keynote speaker at community gatherings, as well as organizing a three-day conference of ‘Drum Beats-Using Our Voice to Empower Our People’.
