Description:
This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: coordination and support of commemoration initiatives in four different Cree communities, celebration of vigils, organization of family sharing circles and skirt making workshops, creation and installation of commemorative plaques based on a local and culturally relevant design, distribution of promotional materials, and publication of an awareness-raising newsletter in local media.
