Description:
This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: organizing community champion engagement, Elders Healing Circle, Reading for conciliation Youth Summit, Blanket Exercises, partner in Orange Shirt Day, National Aboriginal Day and the creation and installation of a commemorative monument designed by an indigenous artist followed by a ceremony.
