Description:
This 36-month project will address the capacity needs of 2SLGBTQ1+ organizations and youth-serving organizations in supporting young LBTQ+ women who are facing gender-based violence. Specifically, the project will develop and provide training to service providers on bystander intervention and, on gender-based violence and LBTQ+ youth. The intended improvements in practice will be supported through the convening of four service provider regional networks across the country and a national mobilization event at the end of the project. Wisdom2Action will also launch a national public education and prevention social media campaign, in both official languages, that will address street harassment and other forms of public violence targeted at LBTQ+ youth.
