Description:

This 12-month project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Quebec Lesbian Archives to promote LGBTQ2+ equality. Project objectives will be achieved by ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organization by diversifying its funding sources and improving its grant application writing skills, implementing a visibility campaign aimed at target audiences, and developing the digitization skills and capabilities necessary for the sustainability of the organization. By the end of the project, the organization will have increased knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.

Program Purpose:

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
