Description:
Through this 27-month project, the Kermode Friendship Society will increase its ability to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, with a focus on persons affected by violence in Terrace, British Columbia. This will be achieved by conducting a needs assessment and updating the organization’s mission, core values and policies, manuals, and procedures (including on human resources, board governance, and finance) and introducing a long-term strategic plan. By the end of the project, the Kermode Friendship Society will have strengthened its capacity to prevent and address GBV against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, with a focus on persons affected by violence in Terrace, British Columbia.
