Description:

Through this 9-month project, OUTniagara will develop community-informed initiatives to overcome key issues facing 2SLGBTQ2+ communities in Niagara. This will be achieved by developing and promoting a sexual and gender diversity training video program and toolkit for 2SLGTBQ+-allied businesses and organizations. By the end of this project, OUTniagara will have supported a community-informed project to address key issues facing 2SLGBTQ+ communities and advance equality for 2SLGBTQ+ people in Niagara.

Program Purpose:

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
