Description:
Through this 36-month project, Les 3 sex* will develop and implement a gender-based cyber violence prevention program for young boys to strengthen the gender-based violence sector. The project will address the lack of access to services that help counter online radicalization and disinformation leading to gender-based cyber violence against women and 2SLGBTQI+ people. It will target young boys who are vulnerable to the influence of messaging from the manosphere. This will include consulting with partners; collecting data; creating awareness resources; and applying, evaluating, and disseminating innovative practices. An external evaluation will measure and assess the impact of these promising practices. Les 3 sex* will disseminate the promising practices and share the assessment report to inform other organizations of the promising practices so that they can replicate or scale them.
Additional funding has been allocated to develop and disseminate resources aimed at raising awareness and promoting positive models of masculinity.
With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Les 3 sex* will carry out knowledge‑sharing activities and mobilize the engagement of adult men who are likely to act as agents of change and allies in preventing gender‑based violence in digital environments frequented by young boys. Through this, they will further advance gender equality.

Program:
Gender-Based Violence Program
Program Purpose:
The purpose of the GBV Program is to strengthen the GBV sector to address gaps in supports for two groups of survivors: 1) Indigenous women and their communities, and 2) underserved populations (including women living with a disability, non-status/refugee /immigrant women, LGBTQ2S, gender non-conforming people and ethno-cultural women) in Canada. The Program provides grant and contribution funding to Canadian organizations to improve supports to help create long-term, comprehensive solutions at the national, regional, and local levels.
