Agreement Number:

Agreement Value:
$184,760.00
Agreement Date:
Aug 21, 2024 - Mar 31, 2027
Description:
Through this 31-month project, Planned Parenthood Ottawa-Carleton will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address their need to develop timely strategies to support Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+, and newcomer women with their sexual and reproductive health, a recent rise in demand for gender-based programming, as well as the need for stronger governance and long-term financial sustainability. The project will review and analyse community data, and consult key constituency groups on needs and on the perception of both PPO and its services. They will then workshop the analysis and consultation findings and develop a 5-year strategic plan. The organization will evaluate their progress against the strategic plan and a one-year progress report will be produced.
With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Planned Parenthood Ottawa-Carleton will conduct an evaluation of the reduced capacity front line programming offered to evaluate barriers faced by marginalized populations, and to supplement the work being undertaken in the strategic plan to reduce those barriers. This evaluation will be used to ensure that the reduction in programming has not disproportionately impacted access or outcomes for marginalized communities. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
