Description:
Through this 32-month systemic change project, Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke will help advance women’s economic security and prosperity through systemic change. Specifically, the project will increase opportunities for women to enter and succeed in predominantly male workplace environments by building the capacity of employers to implement anti-oppressive, anti-racist, trauma-informed policies and practices. The project will 1) develop an engagement strategy guided by women with lived experiences of GBV; 2) design a training program based on a needs assessment and on consultations with prospective participants; and 3) deliver training to the selected companies and support their efforts to make their workplaces more equitable. An external evaluator will measure and assess the impact of the systemic change project.
