Description:
This 24-months project will support organizational capacity building activities to advance efforts to identify and address issues affecting Somali-Canadian mothers who have been impacted by gun violence in the North Etobicoke community of Toronto. Funding will allow the organization to establish itself as a women-centric organization and increase its capacity in: outreach operations; establishing policies and procedures related to governance; undertaking community needs assessment and asset mapping processes; developing strategic and sustainability plans; and, implementing a collaboration plan with local stakeholders and service providers. The additional funding will be directed at enhancing the organisation`s sustainability plan and providing support to the design of its fundraising strategy.
