Description:
This 58-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the Aboriginal Peoples Alliance Northern Ontario to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the development of a 4-year strategic plan, the creation of a comprehensive training manual on gender mainstreaming for staff and community members and partners, the development and facilitation of capacity building workshops for staff at all 10 organization sites, related to gender identity, gender equality, and gender mainstreaming. The 2023 Supplemental funds will be used to improve Human Resource management, implement a Results-Based Management Process, diversify funding sources, and increase capacity to advocate for Indigenous women through an advocacy strategy and community network.
