Description:
This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: the creation and installation of a commemorative monument as well as the coordination of an unveiling ceremony that will include a drum group and community feast. In addition, workshops will also be held in each of the eleven First Nations that comprise the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council to promote awareness, preventive information and a strategy for future steps to support family and community.
