Description:
This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: facilitating reconnections with Aboriginal spirituality and traditions through the participation of Ribbon Skirt teaching to promote healing. This will be done by providing families with grief and loss counselors as well as working with Elders and local Artisans to create traditional regalia in honour of those lost.
