Canada-New-Zealand Army Staff Talks (CAN-NZL AST). The annual ASTs enhance the army-to-army relationships, synchronize bilateral efforts, and improve interoperability, interdependence, and integration in accordance with the CAN-UK Army Engagement Strategy. The Canadian Head of Delegation (HoD) is the Deputy Commander Canadian Army (DComd CA). ASTs include three days of plenary sessions, working groups, back-briefs tot he HoDs, and battlefield studies.
