Description:
CANADA-CHILE NAVAL STAFF TALKS (NST) This is the 10th edition of the NST with Chile and the first to be hosted by Canada since 2016. The Deputy Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy will host the Chilean Navy delegation at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt. The intended hospitality programme includes light refreshments, two working lunches, and a hosted formal dinner with a modest provision of alcohol to meet international and reciprocation standards for an activity of this nature. Local ground transportation for the delegation will be provided by CFB Esquimalt as matter of expected international protocol, which will negate commercial rental fees and limit expenses to fuel only. Use of DND facilities has been maximized to reduce venue hospitality costs; however, contracted catered options for food service is required due to local constraints and venue location, whereby optimizing the engagement opportunity, and limiting disruption to planned activities.
