The DCI held several virtual Knowledge Mobilization session between October and December with representatives from the research community, academia, civil society and federal government departments attending these sessions.
Knowledge Mobilization sessions were organized for Digital Public Square, Simon Fraser University and CIVIX to present their work. Select representatives from the research community, academia, civil society and federal government departments attended these sessions.

The DCI held a virtual Knowledge Mobilization session in September with representatives from the research community, academia, civil society and federal government departments attending these sessions.
A Knowledge Mobilization session was organized in Sept 2022 for a DCCP funded organization to present their work-- John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights. Representatives from the research community, academia, civil society and federal government departments attended these sessions.

Tentative plans to host a DCI conference in the coming year are in progress. The Digital Citizen Initiative organized a knowledge mobilization session by Alliance Jeunesse Famille de l’Alberta Society, a former recipient of funding. Attendees included relevant members of government agencies and members of our stakeholder database.

The Digital Citizen Initiative (DCI) planned to hold its annual conference in February 2022; however, due to increasing concerns around the pandemic and COVID-related restrictions, as well as persistent virtual meeting fatigue, a conference in the traditional sense was reimagined into virtual Knowledge Mobilization sessions with stakeholders.
Knowledge Mobilization sessions to replace the DCI annual conference are planned to take place in April and May 2022.
The ongoing pandemic and COVID-related restrictions, as well as virtual meeting fatigue posed challenges to the DCI.
