Evidence of progress:

Justice Canada continues to work in close collaboration with provincial and territorial partners. As a recent example, the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Ad Hoc Working Group on Access to Justice met in January 2024 to share recent updates on advancing people-centred justice and United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). The working group also identified potential research topics for future presentations, including on evictions data and seniors’ legal needs.
