In June 2024, Justice Canada met with OGP and TBS officials to discuss proposed revisions to the Terms of Reference for the Justice Coalition. Refinements to the language will align the Coalition’s efforts with the OGP’s Open Government Challenge on justice.

The OGP Coalition on Justice has held a series of regional meetings during the period covered by the National Action Plan as follows:
• October 2022 Side meeting of members of Coalition from Eastern Partnership and Western Balkans at the OGP Europe Regional meeting in Rome. At this meeting of members co-creating/implementing justice commitments, the OGP Support Unit presented commitment examples from across transparency, participation and accountability angles that they could consider as part of their new action plans
• November 2022 Session at the OGP Africa and Middle East regional meeting in Morocco for members of the Coalition in the region. At this session the OGP Support Unit discussed how to engage local community organizations in justice reform design and planning to a greater extent, to advance a more people-centred justice approach. Coalition members Sierra Leone and Kenya were invited to share their experience.
• May/June 2023 Coalition member Kenya was selected and funded to participate and share their experience at the Africa Chief Justices meeting in Arusha, Tanzania
