Updates

2026-06
Status:
Substantial progress
Evidence of progress:

There were 72, 957 page views on all pages associated with the State of the Criminal Justice System (SOCJS) initiative between January 1 and June 30, 2026. The number of hits shows traffic to the site and interest in the SOCJS.

The high number of page views is very encouraging. Keeping the SOCJS up to date is a very labour-intensive process which is why automation of the updates of the indicators is really important. There have been discussions amongst team leads about stopping work on different facets of the SOCJS. This is due to the number of hours required to maintain the webpages.

With a high number of page views, this demonstrates that the pages are being accessed and viewed – more than 10,000 views a month. This figure will feed into those ongoing discussions about resources, capacity and the value of maintaining the SOCJS.
