This document provides Canadians with an annual summary of selected pipeline safety data. It covers federally regulated pipelines only. Non-federally regulated data reported to the TSB are not included in this report. The TSB gathers and uses this data during the course of our investigations to analyse safety deficiencies and identify risks in the Canadian transportation system. At the end of the year, an annual summary is produced and published as open information.

A lobbying registration is required when a paid individual communicates with federal public office holders in respect of certain subject matter, either on behalf of their employer or a client. This dataset contains all lobbying registrations filed to the Office of the Registrar of Lobbyists between the dates January 31, 1996 and June 30, 2008 under the Lobbyists Registration Act, and the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying from July 2, 2008 onward under the Lobbying Act. The Canada Energy Regulator produces a table showing conditions from projects approved since 2010. This table lists conditions by company and by specific approval number. It also shows the current status of each condition. The conditions dataset is updated daily. This dataset is used in the Conditions on Energy Projects visualization tool on the Canada Energy Regulator website. The source code for the visualization tool is also available.
The Vehicle Recalls Database is used by Transport Canada's Defect Investigations and Recalls Division to record and publish recalls pertaining to vehicles, tires, and child car seats. Data set includes all recalls in the last 60 days.
The Payments in Lieu of Taxes Program is administered by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). Every year more than $560 million is distributed to approximately 1,100 taxing authorities where property owned by federal departments is situated. Payments made under the Payments in Lieu of Taxes Act are based on the principle of fairness respecting both the taxing authorities and the federal government and are equitable in comparison to those made by other property owners.
