Motion-detection cameras are a cost-effective and non-invasive tool used in Banff National Park for sampling mammal populations and estimating species occurrence. Occupancy modelling, which uses detection/non-detection data from cameras, provides a useful and flexible framework for population trend analyses. Data are collected throughout the year across Banff National Park to determine change in the distribution of key animal populations as well as supporting demographic predictions to better inform management.

"Birds are the most diverse of land vertebrates and are an important indicator of ecosystem health. Large protected areas, such as Banff National Park, provide important habitat for a wide range of bird species. Data collected can provide a number of ecological indices; for example, used to assess the effects of land use and climate change. Yearly data are collected at these sites using audio recorders to determine indices of bird diversity and occupancy trends to inform management.
Note that this dataset has only transect locations. Bird information is not available at this time. "

We surveyed the presence of four native amphibian species in wetlands throughout the eastern section of Banff National Park. This dataset represents detection or non-detection for each of the four species.
We performed auditory and visual surveys of 60 pre-determined breeding sites . We surveyed each site two times during a sampling period between mid-April and the end of May.
We conducted auditory surveys by recording amphibian calls at the edge of each site for a 5-minute period prior to the visual survey. We conducted visual surveys for a one-hour search time with two observers in order to standardize survey …

Each quarter, the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) publishes Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) statistics on Open Government Data Portal, including quarterly and annual LMIA data related to, but not limited to, requested and approved TFW positions, employment location, employment occupations, sectors, TFWP stream and temporary foreign workers by country of origin.
The TFWP does not collect data on the number of TFWs who are hired by an employer and have arrived in Canada. The decision to issue a work permit rests with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and not all positions on a positive LMIA result in …
