This series of 1:250 000 scale colour maps covers the provincial extent of Alberta and is comprised of 50 maps that are individually named using the National Topographic System (NTS) map sheet identifier. These maps display: Alberta Township System (ATS), contours (50m intervals), major hydrographic features, municipalities, major roads, railways, and select geo-administrative features (parks, reserves, etc.).

This data set is a GIS version of the surficial geology drumlin features for the Bitumount area Alberta (NTS74E), as mapped at 1:250,000 scale by L.A.Bayrock. Polygons represent the areal coverage of the drumlins, and no attributes are available.

This series of cartographic quality printed 1:50 000 scale monochrome maps cover the provincial extent of Alberta comprised of 764 maps that are individually named using the National Topographic System (NTS) map sheet identifier. These maps display the Alberta Township System (ATS), hydrographic features, municipalities, roads, cutlines, facilities, pipelines, powerlines, railways, select geo-administrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). All maps contained within a 1:250 000 block (generally up to 16 map sheets) will be included in the NTS Block download.This series is not updated on a regular basis and may contain a range of publication dates.

The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 16 of the Atlas, Triassic Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 27, Halfway-Doig Isopach and Lithofacies. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.

The 1:2 000 000 scale maps are a generalized small scale version of the 1:1 000 000 scale map. The primary provincial base map displays the Alberta Township System (ATS), major hydrographic features, municipalities, major roads, and select geo-administrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). This GIS dataset depicts the surficial geology of the Haig River area (NTS 84E/NE) (GIS data, polygon features). The data were created in geodatabase format and output for public distribution in shapefile format. These data comprise the polygon features of Alberta Geological Survey Map 575, Surficial Geology of the Haig River Area (NTS 84E/NE).

The Phase 2, or Detailed, Forest Inventory is the second provincial level forest inventory conducted in the province of Alberta. The Phase 1 (Broad Scale) Forest Inventory (initiated in 1949 and completed by 1956) preceded the Detailed Inventory. The Phase 2 (Detailed) Forest Inventory was undertaken to cover lands where commercial timber commitments existed that were not inventoried as part of the Phase 1 (Broad Scale) Forest Inventory. The Phase 2 (Detailed) Forest Inventory utilized aerial photography from 1956 to 1966 to capture attribution similar to the Phase 1 (Broad Scale) Forest Inventory but at a more detailed level. A …

Since its inception in 1920, the Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) has drilled several thousand boreholes across the province. Most were drilled only into the unconsolidated sediments overlying the top of bedrock. In 2010, AGS staff began a project to systematically compile all of the borehole log information into a database. This Digital Data product and its companion Open File Report, OFR 2014-06 are the interim results of this initiative. The dataset comprises three tables: Sources.txt, Boreholes.txt and Intervals.txt, as well as metadata.
